  • NOTE: The 2197 cutter is designed for surfacing carbon fiber only. Aluminum, steel, and titanium disc brake mounts must be surfaced using the 2171 cutter supplied with the DT-5.2. For carbon frames with aluminum inserts (with a hybrid carbon/aluminum mounting surface), use the 2197 cutter. When machining carbon fiber, regularly apply water (or a similar solution) to the cutting surface.
